THE MOLOK LIVES

For the first time everMolok made a public appearance! Spanning 20 feet wide and 13 feet tall, Molok grew before the eyes of a packed Rochester Contemporary Arts Center on Thursday, August 23rd. Xander Chauncey (exec. producer), Nancy Pop (producer), Nadia Campanaro and Courtney Downing (Mason-Dixen Roller Vixens), and Bryan Koslowsky all operated the creature, first gearing up in the appropriate harnesses and stilts, then maneuvering the beast throughout the space as soundscape artist Harold Taddy dropped his (per usual) sick beats.

A variety of object donations poured in from the local community - a deceased relative's jewelry, a young girl's fairy wand, a retired athlete's tennis racket, and more were all donated to the building of our monster. We've compiled a video series of these object offerings and will be sharing them here on The Molok's Lair in the coming weeks!

Thank you to everyone at Rochester Contemporary Arts Center for hosting us and making our first offering event a huge success!

Our next one will be held in Centre Hall, PA on September 29th. Click here for more information!
